Deep coat lift

I love the color and feel of my "old" Sony DSC F717. What is the next generation camera? - next generation swing set

.. I know the F717 is I just want the pictures that you are old with him. Sony has discontinued this model (swing) through the lens? My mother gave me the Canon Digital Rebel, but I do not have the same colors and sharpness as with my Sony. Is there a new generation to the F717?
