To kill a bug!? - buy household ammonia

Which of my cleaning products will be more effective to kill them? Took my foreeever chlorine to kill the larvae. So it took a little ammonia to a spider and I'm waiting for the result. He left the room! Awaaaaaaayyyyyy to go! Or should I buy to repellent instant killer (if so, what does that mean exactly?)?
